“The flagship is the 2018 Saint Joseph Paradis Saint Pierre, a single vineyard release that comes from a steep, east/southeast-facing vineyard just behind the domaine. The wine was 80% destemmed and aged 15 months in a mix of barrels and demi-muids. It's also a candidate for the wine of the vintage, yet it offers a much more classic profile of ripe blackberry and currants fruits intermixed with lots of peppery herbs, crushed rocks, and violet aromas and flavors. Rich, powerful, and concentrated, it has the vintage's more rounded, charming style yet has loads of tannins, an expansive, sexy texture, no hard edges, and a great finish.” (Jeb 94-96 p)
